The Persecuted
Around the world, followers of Jesus continue to be persecuted for their faith and practice. The statistics have regularly ticked upward over the past few decades. Yet, many remain unaware of what our family is going through.
According the Open Doors World Watch List of 2026, “The intensity of persecution and discrimination continues to increase, with more than 388 million Christians worldwide, one in seven, facing "high levels" of persecution and discrimination for their faith.” Another 2026 study by the Aid to the Church in Need organization found that nearly 5.4 billion people--two-thirds of humanity--reside in countries where serious religious freedom violations are committed.
For he past 35 years, REACT Services has been actively involved in collaborative work in seeing Christians come together for prayer, advocacy, and on-ground assistance. Among other projects, the Religious Liberty Partnership (RLP) is one of those places where we consult and promote partnering strategies. We continue to be a voice for those being discriminated, harassed, and persecuted for their faith.
